Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero DLC 1: Gohan

It's so fucking cool dude.

I've been playing Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero for a few months now pretty much daily and still haven't gotten bored. As part of their season pass, the first DLC has released named "Hero of Justice" which includes 11 new characters, 1 new costume, and 3 custom battles.

"Guess it's my turn."

Gohan from Super Hero has finally arrived including 4 forms.

Base (SH) Gohan: Costs 4dp
2SP: Afterimage
2SP: Full-Power Charge
3KI: Masenko
3KI: High Speed Rush
SP!: Super Kamehameha
Transformations: 1SP: SSJ1 (SH) Gohan, 2SP: Ultimate Gohan

As for my opinion on Base (SH) Gohan, he's good, pretty slow with decent damage but he can keep himself alive for a bit and his fit is on point. His moves are pretty lame but that's to be expected from a 4dp base character. However him being a 4DP is kinda insane as you can transform straight to ultimate gohan and then to beast for 4sp total. That turns a 4dp character into a 9dp character.

SSJ1 (SH) Gohan: Costs 6dp
2SP: Explosive Wave
2SP: Full-Power Charge
3KI: Explosive Ray
3KI: Explosive Kick
SP!: Super Kamehameha
Transformations: 0SP: Base (SH) Gohan, 1SP: Ultimate Gohan

My opinion on SSJ1 (SH) Gohan is that he's probably the most useless form here, nice to have him but if you ask me just skip it to transform to ultimate gohan. It's literally a 1sp difference in base. His transformation animation is pretty cool where he takes his glasses off. All of SSJ1's animations feels like base just with more flair, I like that he says "For Videl, for Pan, for everyone...." in his ult but it's almost the exact same animation just with more effects on screen. His rush move isn't bad either with some nice fluid martial arts on display.

Ultimate (SH) Gohan: Costs 8dp
2SP: Wild Sense
2SP: The Power to Rise Again (stat boost)
3KI: Explosive Bullet
3KI: Super Explosive Rush
SP!: Explosive Onslaught
Transformations: 0SP: Base (SH) Gohan, 2SP: Beast Gohan

A great form, speedy and powerful with decent damaging moves that are really fast, it shows how straight to the point this Gohan is with everything being executed quickly. However he loses the spectacle so as for substance and flair there's not much here. His biggest factor is being the only one that can transform into Beast Gohan.

Beast Gohan: Costs 9dp
2SP: Beast Sense (Afterimage)
4SP: Guess it's my turn. (instant sparking)
3KI: Super Explosive Ray
4KI: Explosive Flash (Instant Rush)
SP!: Special Beam Cannon
Transformations: 0SP: Base (SH) Gohan

The main course, the man himself: Gohan Blanco (Gohan Beast). As this is Gohan's "Ultra" form it's a 9dp monster with a insta sparking, those really fast punches and a fuck ton of damage. The transformation is almost 1-1 with the movie, and all the animations are fantastic.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Mini Review (PS5)

Oh boy, this one's gonna get dicey.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (shortened to BO6) is the 21st installment in the call of duty franchise, with that comes a certain level of fatigue where even if you do give older fans what they want, they're gonna get bored of it pretty fast. If you give new fans what they want, they'll play it, but then the old fans won't like it and you'll get an outpouring from the frankly vocal minority. You can do something in the middle, but unless you pull it off perfectly, it's gonna piss off everyone.

BO6 is a good game

A good Call of Duty even, but it's not a different Call of Duty. It's a solid take on a existing formula, it actually shares that from the previous black ops game, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The multiplayer is solid, smooth, fun, and introduces "Omnimovement".

However, the game still suffers from hackers on PC, meta guns are still rampant and what will most definitely become the whack-a-mole introduce a gun and then nerf the gun a month later rinse and repeat. Omnimovement is cool but frankly other than being able to slide and shoot in different ways and being able to run sideways, it just becomes a gimmick and I just go back to sliding and diving.

Also, why the hell is tac running here?

It just serves to make BO6 feel more like the MW games and those have always been separated for a reason. Nonetheless it's still fun because at the end of the day, it's still Call of Duty. I like the fact the store is empty, I know they will not keep it that way but still, keep the horrid MTx to warzone F2P garbage.

The progression is actually a highlight, BO6 is bringing back prestige and has meaningful rewards for every prestige alongside a nicely laid out progression screen, showing you what rewards you earn for leveling up.

Speaking of the UI

It's actually a huge improvement then the previous garbage. Once you get past the HQ screen, it's a nice simple UI that clearly shows where everything is in a reasonable layout. It's not amazing, but compared to the Hulu-ass MW2 and MW3 ui's, it's a major difference. I only had one "update requires restart" (which was when I first launched the game) and the loading times were reasonable enough to justify running a quick game when I have a spare 10 minutes here and there.

WAVE BASED ZOMBIES IS BACK!

Finally, can we stop with that horrible Warzone zombies trash? Wave-based zombies returns in full force with Terminus and Liberty Falls. It feels very similar to Cold War's or BO3 zombies with slightly larger maps than games like Call of Duty: World at War or Call of Duty: Black Ops 1, but with the same depth and pacing as traditional zombies. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Thoughts

It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage

I honestly thought this game was gonna be an alright but basic story based action adventure game. I was wrong, god I was so wrong.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a masterpiece; The best way I can describe it that it feels like you're playing a Indiana Jones movie, but perfectly adapted to the video game medium in a Bioshock/Dishonored type of level-to-level interactable and complex environments with side-stories, collectibles, secret puzzles, combat areas, etc.

Batman Arkham Shadow: Thoughts

This game is fantastic, just not what fans wanted.

Batman Arkham Shadow is great, but has what I like to call the "Half Life Alyx effect" where no matter how good the game is, fans wanted a flat screen sequel, not a vr spinoff. The Gameplay is solid and somehow harkens back to the Arkham's of old, while still taking advantage of it being a VR game. The story is also surprisingly entrancing and keeps you hooked constantly (again just like the arkham's of past). I'd heavily recommend it to anyone with a Quest (that's compatible).

That's all folks...
